1990s Multi Coloured Love Birds Intarsia Hand Knit Cotton Jumper, Made in Italy

This jumper is pretty darn special.  Hand knitted in Italy from cotton yarn with a complex multicoloured  intarsia design of love birds repeated front and back which is rare these days. I also love the heart design on the elbows and the multitude of flowers that make me smile. The jumper is a lovely blouson relaxed shape that tapers in at the hip and cuffs. Then there's the unusual use of colour combining burnt red orange with pastel shades of yellow, lilac and mint green.
