1960s Wool Linen Pastel Pink and Moss Green Plaid Shirtwaist Dress by Donald Davies of Dublin
This beautiful shirtwaist dress is perfect for that 1960s/70s vibe that still feels modern. I love the soft muted colourway, the patch pockets on the front and the buttons to the waist.
It is a hard wearing piece that will last forever if it’s cared for. Add some layers like we’ve done here to take through the seasons.
Donald Davies was an Irish clothing manufacturer, best known for women’s shirts and shirtwaist dresses. They were usually made from wool or fine Irish linen, which was woven by hand. The company was founded in 1954 with Donald Davies’ wife Mary Davies as the designer. A shop was opened in Paris in 1967 and in New York in 1971.
